Black Obsidian is a great tool to have when it comes to understanding our own subconscious mind. It's glossy surface works like a mirror to reflect light into the darkest recess of the subconscious.
The deepest, darkest corner of our subconscious mind is where we shove our suppressed negative emotions. These suppressed emotion is held within us like steam in a Pressure Cooker; and as we go about life, we come across triggers that will release the pressure (eg anger outburst, anxiety, depression etc). The pressure is released in small dosage but is always building up within us until we face root cause of the pressure (ie the cause of the suppressed emotion).
