Breaking through the Heart Wall to a more fulfilled you

Did you know most of us have built a wall around our Heart that prevents us from loving with intent and experience life to it's full potential?

The human electromagnetic field (sometimes referred to as the Aura) expands three feet in diameters around the body and the center of that energy field is the Heart. As we go through life, majority of us would unconsciously build a wall around that energy center after each traumatic event we experience in Life.

The intent of the Heart Wall is to protect us from getting hurt or being "heart broken", which is fair enough because a heart break can hurt so bad that it kills. However, it's important to remember that most of these traumatic events (and therefore walls we've built) occurred when we were much younger (mostly in our early childhood or adolescent) when we and/or the people around us didn't know any better.

It might be the way our Mum or Dad interacted with us; our family dynamics; our relationships with others etc where somewhere along the line we've needed to learn to cope in certain ways in those relationship dynamics. The coping mechanism to the traumatic event(s) that we've adopted is the wall that we've erected around our Heart center. That wall(s) becomes the filter(s) in which our energy interacts with our world and the people around us.

For example, we may continually find ourselves in the same relationship dynamic regardless of who our partner is and that's because the energy we emit from our Heart behind those layers of filters can only attract certain characteristics of people/events.

You see, I've come to understand through my own experimenting that I, myself indeed have built layers upon layers of wall around my Heart. And as I go through this healing journey, I've needed to revisit the dark memories that I've shoved deep in the recess of my subconscious mind. Revisiting these "forgotten" memories can bring forth the same pain that resulted in you erecting that wall in the first place (this is why if you're doing this; I want you to know that you're exceptional and courageous).

In order for us to heal, we need to understand why is it that we I've needed to act a certain ways to cope; from there we can start to learn to forgive and let go of that feeling/energy/person in our Heart. In the process of our understanding and forgiveness, we demolish the wall one layer at a time until eventually there is more wall left and we can finally be free to let Love flow freely through our being to a more fulfilled life.

  • All this fabulous information hidden away! First time I’ve scrolled down far enough to find these treasures! I like the way you’ve described the process of building a wall around your heart – it’s a familiar concept, but your description is clear and easy to understand.
Another suggestion for reading is ‘Opening Your Heart’ by Anne Jones – it details the author’s own remarkable journey, with meditations to help remove blocks
